It is a costume that you have to sew, so sewing experience is needed, but only basic skills. We collect Beanie Babies, and I made a copy of a Ty Hang Tag on my computer changing information regarding the bear the costume was created to look like to reflect my son's and our family information. The costume itself is adorable, with or without the Hang Tag. I bought a cheap (less than $2.00) pattern of a little jumper (coverall) with sleeves, and just cut the pattern pieces from some brown towels (I used some older ones that I had on hand that don't coordinate with my bathroom anymore - basically recycled them!). I hand crafted a little hat (hood) with ears and sewed a wide ribbon around the bottom of the hat (hood) so that when the ribbon is tied it serves as a bow around the neck while keeping it on. I made some basic mittens and booties out of the same towel "material" that are slipped on after the costume is put on. (Suggested by E-Mail) |
